William Tonking, the 27 year old American poker pro is all set to play at the 2014 WSOP main event November Nine with a healthy stack of 11.25 M chips. Tonking has been a poker player since his high school days and started playing online poker at the University of South Carolina from where he graduated in Economics. Later in 2011, he established himself as a cash game player in regional casinos.
In the 6 years of his professional poker career, Tonking has kept pace with evolving tactics and strategies throughout the tournaments. Besides poker, he is a die-hard fan of Mets, Knicks, Cowboys and follows the South Carolina football team.
He achieved his first poker career high in 2012 when he finished fifth in the Sands Bethlehem Deepstack Extravaganza $2,500 No-limit main event for $28,000. Moreover, Tonking keeps playing at Sam’s in Bethlehem, Borgata, and the WSOP. In total, he has made $824,031 in live tournaments.
