Day 1a of The Pokerstars Australia New Zealand Poker Tour(ANZPT), Sydney Season 5 ended here today with the Main Event attracting 209 players and seeing 86 survivors. Gary Benson sat atop a chip stack of 193,000 and led the pack of 86 players in the main event.
Day 1a ended at Level 8 with blinds at 500/1000, 100 Ante. Jean Pierre Besancon was second in chip count with 138,500 chips while Benjamin Zhang also sat pretty with 114,200 chips. ANZPT Perth’s Main event winner Dejan Divkovic survived a tumultuous day where his stack went up and down many times.
