Liu Feng emerged the overall chip leader with 167,600 chips and lead the players into Day 2 of the Main Event of the Asian Poker Tour (APT) in Jeju, Korea. From a total of 166 players who started the main event action, Feng lead the remaining pack of 66 players. He was closely followed by Jae Kyung “Simba” Sim with 140,000 chips who was the chip leader on Day 1A.
The upsets of the day included Ben Abrahams and Hisashi Ogi who are regulars in the APT while Sparrow Cheung and Casey Kastle entered Day 2 comfortably. The top 10 leader board featured 5 Chinese players with Lisa Wei leading her country’s challenge at fourth spot with 97,000 chips. Others included Liao Xiaoyony with 95,000 chips, Bing Yang with 94,200 chips, Xu Hao Yu at 84,700 chips and Lee Shang with 77,800 chips.
In some side events, Raiden Kan of Hong Kong won the FreezeOut 3 Event and was richer by $ 4,730. Takuo Serita won another side event Deep Stack Turbo 1 and took a cash of $1,160 in a pre-dominantly Japanese final table.
