Biography:
Joseph Cada, an American professional poker player born on November 18, 1987 in Shelby Charter Township, Michigan. Cada was familiar with cards since childhood, but instead of poker it was blackjack. His mother was a blackjack dealer at the MotorCity Casino in Detroit, but he was unaffected till late 2000’s. At the age of 16 in 2003, with his brother he started playing poker and together they made a deposit of 25$, which grew his interest in poker. Although, he had the legal boundation of not to play in Casino till the age of 21 in US, but in Canada he got the chance to play online at the age of 19. He made his mark at the age of 21, as youngest player in the history by winning the Championship in 2009 World Series of Poker.
His winning the 6,494-entrant main event surpassed Peter Eastegate as the youngest player forever and he became representative for Team poker Stars in 2009 after becoming World Champion. His total live tournament winning till 2012 was $8,550,000. As poker ambassador, Cada made various publicity appearances. His media events included appearances on CNN, CBS News, CNBC, Late Show with David Letterman, numerous ESPN outlets including First Take, The Scott Van Pelt Show, ESPNU, ESPNews, ESPN inside Deal and ESPN.com as well as a taping for SportsCenter that was never aired plus a visit to WWE Raw.
He holds 7 cashes in WSOP, out of which, 2 is in 2012 event, 2 is in 2011 event and 3 is in 2099 event. His best performance in WSOP finish was second I 2811 entrant June 16-18, 2012$1, 500 in no limit Hold’em event#31in which he earned $412,424.
