Joseph McKeehen of Philadelphia, USA took the coveted gold ring as he won the 2012-23 WSOP circuit Caesers Atlantic City Main Event here yesterday. The young poker player was richer by $174,150 and dominated the final day with chip lead and ultimately taking the title.
The $1,675 buy-in tournament had 540 entries and the final day saw 19 survivors. McKeehan had a good lead from the start of the final day which only became better as he eliminated players easily. The 21 year old though the youngest on the table, had four times the chip lead over the second placed by the time the final table started.
The final table of nine was surprisingly short with only 75 minutes of action. With this win McKeehen also wins for himself a seat in the 2012-13 WSOP Circuit National Championship in May 2013. The WSOP Circuit now moves to Colorado from March 22-25.
