A very short poker day on Day 4 of the ongoing European Poker Tour(EPT), London saw the main event field chopped from 32 players to 15 players. Steve O’Dwyer led the final pack at the end of Day 4 with a chip stack of 2.2 million and was closely followed by Nicolas Chouity with 2.1 Million chips.
With a huge first prize of GBP 700,000 each member of the final table is guaranteed atleast GBP 20,000. Hosted at the Grosvenor Victoria Casino, London, the fourth day began with Finland’s Pasi Sormunen in the lead with 1.6 Million chips. But soon aggression overtook the table and six hours later, many including former EPT champions like Jason Mercier, Mike MacDonald, Annette Obrestad were eliminated.
Major past champions still left in the field include Theo Jorgenson in sixth position, Nicolas Chouity in second position and Chris Moorman in ninth position. The winner of the main event will be decided tomorrow and then action will move on to Berlin where EPT Berlin will be held between April 17th and 27th 2013. The final stop will be EPT Grand Final in Monaco in May 2013.
