Australian Poker player Khac Trung Tran summed up four days of great poker as he captured the Main Event title of the Asian Poker Tour(APT) Philippines 2013 at the Resorts World Manila here today. Tran came from fifth place in the 8 handed table and also eliminated the day 3 chip leader Nam Le in his tryst to becoming the champion.
Tran remained both aggressive and consistent, building up his chip stack and also eliminating players on his way to the top. His aggressive style of playing is reflected most by the fact that his heads up action against fellow Aussie Thang Truong lasted only 2 hands. Tran is now richer by $124,000.
Here is how the final table paid out:
Player Name | Payout |
Khac Trung Tran | $124,000 |
Thang Truong | $71,600 |
Sekiya Yosuke | $48,700 |
Nam Le | $34,800 |
Homan Houshier | $28,300 |
Anthony Gabitan | $22,900 |
Miller Zhang | $18,400 |
Tam Truong | $14,900 |
APT action will return to Manila again in October 2013 now.
