Biography-
Sam Trickett, a British poker player, has emerged as the new young face of international poker. Born and brought up in UK, he completed his studies from the same place. Sam had a great passion for football game and always wanted to be an international football player.
However, destiny had some other plans for him. After his graduation, he worked as a CORGI registered gas engineer. But his dream of pursuing a career as a soccer player kept ruling his mind and soul. In 2005, Sam met with an accidental knee injury. This unfortunate incident put an end to his childhood dream.
Soon after this, Sam started playing poker. He started as a novice player in local casinos and soon became a regular player of poker events at Sheffield. In 2003, he started his career as a poker professional and started playing high stake poker games.
His favorite poker game is No Limit Texas hold’em game. Besides poker and football, the poker pro also likes to play 8-ball pool. His ambition is to get more and more sponsorship so that he can play for higher stake.
Although Sam has not been able to win a WSOP bracelets but still he has managed to mark his presence in international poker circuit by winning many other prominent tournaments and titles namely GUKPT, PCA and Aussie million poker events etc.
His biggest cash has come from finishing runners up behind Antonio Esfandiari in the 43rd World Series of Poker 2012 Event #55 – WSOP No Limit Hold’em The Big One for One Drop where he pocketed $ 10,112,001.
