The World Series of Poker Circuit Series kicked off at Foxwood Circuit on March 27th 2013 and culminated into the main event today. The newest stop on the WSOP Circuit series has seen an unprecedented response from the East Coast poker players and the main event that kicked off today lived up to that. A huge turnout of 578 entries was seen for the $1675 buy-in main event.
The winner of the event will win a cash prize, the WSOP Circuit ring and a seat to the WSOP National Championship. The entrants have been a mix of WSOP circuit players plus some Foxwood poker players trying their luck.
The main event will end tomorrow along with the Foxwood circuit and a new champion will be crowned. After 12 levels of play today, the poker tournament had seen the 578 field come down to 123. Eric Rando was the chip leader after Flight A with 143,100 chips. After Flight B ended and more players had joined, poker regulars like Willa Failla had joined the grind. Only about 73 players were left from the Flight B and a total of 196 players will now play Day 2 of the Main Event tomorrow.
