WSOP APAC Bracelet Winner Jim Collopy, who was the most formidable poker player left on the final table of the Asia Pacific Poker Tour(APPT) Main Event in Cebu was eliminated in 4th place. He led the final table as it was formed yesterday and according to live reports, 3 players are left in the race with Jae Kyung Sim taking lead at the stake of a hit Collopy took.
Sim sits atop with 1,900,000 chips while Magnus Karlsson is second with 800,000. Daniel Spence was eliminated in fifth place making Karlsson richer and Anthony Wright is back in form with 264,000 chips and cashing in on Collopy’s exit.
Bawud Hyunshik Yun went out in sixth place and was the only one touted to challenge Collopy. But with Sim now having a big chip lead, it seems he might be good competition to take down the APPT Cebu Title. The total prize pool of the event is 14,099,920 PHP with the champion getting 3,928,000 PHP.
Collopy has had his fair share of poker exploits this season and apart from his WSOP APAC bracelet, he also finished 3rd in the Aussie Millions. The 24 year old poker pro has also had a good run online and has won in millions in the past year. He was looking to win the APPT title for the first time and was favorite and the most known player on the table till he was eliminated cashing in 1,128,000 PHP.
