An unofficial final table of ten has been formed in the Event # 7, $1000 NL Hold’em of the 2013 WSOP led by Indian Origin poker player Amit Makhija. Poker action at the Amazon Room of the Rio All Suites Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas saw 148 players starting Day 2 of the event and finally ten emerging at the end of the days play.
Annette Obrestad and Paul Wasicka were the notables amongst those who exit and finished in the money in this event. Poker notables including Eric Baldwin, Matt Waxman and Brent Hanks still remain in contention for the more than $300,000 top prize. The total playing field at the starting of this event was 1837 players. Makhija managed to stack up 1,100,000 chips by eliminating Ronal Crabtree, Kelvin Gates and Cole Jackson.
In other WSOP news, the Millionaire Maker Event also saw the playing field trim to 10 poker players with Benny Chan in the lead with 5,865,000 chips. Dan Kelly was close behind with 4,130,000 and Justin Liberto was also in the lurch with 3,800,000 chips. Event # 6, $1500 NL Millionaire Event has drawn more than 6000 players and promises a huge $1,199,000 as top prize.
