2011 WSOP Bracelet winner David Diaz was yesterday banned from the World Series of Poker and all of Caeser’s Properties, allegedly for bad behaviour. It is learnt that the 2011 $1,500 Triple-Chance No-Limit Hold’em Championship winner was drunk and causing disturbance at the Rio All Suites Hotel and Casino.
Diaz who was two years ago in the news for his bracelet win and also talked about since he was a cancer survivor. But now he is at the center of this controversy and apparently caused trouble during the Carnivale of Poker going on simultaneously with the WSOP 2013 at the Rio.
Diaz had participated in the Event #21, $3000 NL Hold’em Six handed but his buy-in has been refunded since he is disallowed from all WSOP events and Caesers Properties. Diaz took to twitter to explain his stand on what he did and also tried to garner support from poker pros through the social media platform.
