Canadian Charles Sylvestre won the first 2013 WSOP Bracelet for his country, Canada as he conquered Event #3, NL Hold’em Re-Entry at the Rio in Las Vegas here today. Sylvestre won his maiden WSOP Bracelet as the day’s play ended defeating Seth Berger who led the final table in phases.
Sylvestre won $491,360 while Berger took $303,952. Third placed finisher William Guerrero won $215,107 while Michael Cooper was fourth and won $155,706. This event is one of the three re-entry events included in the 44th WSOP 2013. Earlier in the day Wisconsin poker player Trevor Pope had won event 2 and his maiden WSOP Bracelet.
Event #4, NL Hold’em/ Six Handed is also on the verge of its final table as 7 players remain in the field. Mike Mustafa leads the field with 1,280,000 while Manig Loeser with 900,000 chips was second. Former WSOP Bracelet winner Joe Cada is also in the final seven with 671,000 chips. Eric Blair also stands in contention with 685,000 chips.
Mike Gorodinsky leads the pack of 19 poker players in event # 5, Omaha/7 Card Stud Hi/Lo where poker greats Daniel Negreanu and Mike Matusow also remain in this event.
