Indian origin Poker player Sandeep Pulusani won his maiden WSOP bracelet at the 2013 edition winning the $3,000 No-Limit Hold’em event defeating Niall Farrell. Pulusani came from behind and overcame a huge chip deficit to triumph and cash $592,684. The 24 year old from Alabama, USA overcame more than 1000 players including fellow poker pros like Jason Mercier, Barry Shulman and Chris Dombrowski.
117 players finished ITM in this poker tournament including Mark Radoja, Mercier, Shulman and Lauren Kling. Mercier fell short off the final table as he was eliminated by Michael Rocco who finished third and took $229,500.
This is the first WSOP Bracelet for Pulusani who is a music blogger and has done well for himself on the poker tables in the last few years. He has cashed twice this year in WSOP 2013 and also cashed twice in WSOP 2012. But the WSOP bracelet marks his entry on the poker arena in style.
In event 45, Paul Lieu led the final table of the $1500 Ante Only NL Hold’em with Ben Volpe and Daniel Johnson close behind. The much anticipated Event 47, $111,111 One Drop high Rollers NL Hold’em resumes with 108 survivors from the 166 entrants. Brandon Steven leads the pack of poker players with Daniel Negreanu in the top 20.
