The Schedule for the first half of the Season XII of World Poker Tour (WPT) which will take place from August to December has been announced on Wednesday, June 5, 2013. In the first half, four continents will see WPT events organized there. Also, WPT has signed a three years deal with Fox Sports Network for covering all its tournaments which will be aired on Television.
Fox Sports Network Vice President of Programming David Sussin described the partnership with World Poker Tour as ‘Thrilling’. He added that WPT has always been a favorite amongst the viewers and is second to none when it comes about the unmatched quality of the show.
WPT president Adam Pliska quoted, ‘Our strategy of global expansion is now being fully realized’. He continued and said that WPT has expanded enormously in previous years and this partnership will definitely benefit both WPT as well as Fox Sports Networks.
The first tournament of the XII season will start on August 16, 2013. The host of the WPT Cyprus will be Merit Crystal Cove Casino and once again the sponsors will be ClubWPT.com. After Cyprus, it will continue to organize WPT tournaments throughout Europe, Asia, Africa, North America and the Caribbean for the rest of the year.
