Peruvian Gabriel Diaz was in chip lead as Day 1a of the Main Event of the LAPT Peru, Season 6 ended here at the Atlantic City Casino in Lima. From the 213 poker players who entered, about 60 remained and local player Diaz had the biggest chip stack with 224,500 chips.
The day saw 10 one hour levels and many South American poker players as well as crowd. Others who made it to the next day included Brazilian Bruno Kawauti who made it to the final 18 of the 2013 WSOP Main Event, Jorge Postigo and Season 5 LAPT Peru Champion Jordan Scott.
Notable poker players who lost out on Day 1a included 2013 WSOP Main Event final two tablist Argentinian Fabian Ortiz and one time chip leader Gonzalo Farias. LAPT action will return tomorrow with the second part of Day 1. Keep following all LAPT Peru Action with OPN.
