As LAPT Peru enters the third day, Argentinian Julian Menendez was in chip lead and only 27 poker players remain from the field of 557 entrants. Played out at the Atlantic City Casino, Lima, the picturesque town has seen poker players from more than 30 countries participating in the Peru Leg of the Latin American Poker Tour(LAPT), Season 6.
159 players started on Day 2 and at the end of day’s play, only 27 remained in action. Notable Poker players who lost out on the day included Ricardo Lizano, Freddy Torres and PokerStars Team Pro Online member Andre Akkari. Julian Menendez consoludated his chip stack to take lead towards the end of Day 2 and has a healthy stack of 740,000 chips.
Gabriel Diaz who was chip leader at the end of Day 1a was also sitting pretty with 675,000 chips. The only Team PokerStars Pro remaining in the field was Leo Fernandez with 289,000 chips.
