After eight levels of play on Day 3 of the Full Tilt Poker UKIPT Galway Main Event, the field of poker players was reduced from 51 to 8 with Scottish Alan Gold leading the final table. Gold was leading the field even at the end of Day 1a and was always amongst the top stacks in the Main event. he continued his aggressive play on Day 3 of the UKIPT Galway as shorter stacks became his victims in preparation for the top prize of €205,600.
German poker pro Tim Michels had started Day 3 in chip leadbut had to be content with a ITM finish only. Apart from the cash prize and the trophy, players were also fighting for a spot in the top 10. Finishing amongst the top 10 would also get them a spot in the FTP Qualifier Last Longer Sponsorship Program. The final man standing would also be entitled to a package which includes buy-ins and expenses to all of the remaining UKIPT events of Season 4.
Those who made it to the final table included three Full Tilt qualifiers including Day 1b chip leader Damian Porebski. Daragh Davey and Alan Gold are the other two Full Tilt qualifiers and start the final table of the UKIPT Galway in top two spots. Completing the eight player line up are Christy Morkan, Jonathan Slater, Dimitri Pembroke, Benjamin Spragg and Paul Febers.
