Tom Middleton leads the final 24 in the Main Event of the EPT Barcelona Season XII as five more levels of play were conducted at Casino Barcelona here on Thursday. From a record turnout of 1,234 for EPT Barcelona, the day saw 79 poker players return to the felt with Middleton in lead. He consolidated his lead to stay in front of the final 24 playing field as well.
One of the notable poker players to exit from the 79 players was last years EPT Barcelona Main event winner Mikalai Pobal who had started in short stack. Another former champ who hit the rail included Season 7 EPT Barcelona winner Kent Lundmark.
While Middleton is in chip lead with 3,986,000 chips, he is followed closely by Alejandro Perez with 3,330,000 chips. Day 5 will start soon from the Casino Barcelona and the 24 poker players will be skittled down to the final 8. Keep watching this space for more action on EPT Barcelona.
