Jordan Cristos came from behind to conquer the WPT Legends of Poker Main Event Title and win the top prize of $613,355. He overcame the battle of short stacks with Dan Heimiller to emerge victorious in the Main Event of this prestigious leg of the WPT Season XII at the Bicycle Casino, Bell Gardens, California, Cristos overcame huge chip stacks of Ryan Goindoo (5.5 Million chips) and Phil Laak (4.74 Million chips) to join the likes of Doyle Brunson and Dan Harrington who have also won this championship.
Day 5 progressed at Level Level 29 and heads up action began at Level 33 between Heimiller and Jordan Cristos. Day 3 and 4 had seen Phil Laak headlining the action as he was the only notable poker player left in the final 15 playing field. The first to exit from the final table took a long time and was John Gorden($85,080) followed soon by Laak($109,385) who was second in chip stack when the final table started.
Alexandru Masek($156,790) was the next quick exit and the surprise exit of Goindoo ($233,360) who was the chip leader at the start of Day 5 came next as he had accumulated a huge stack of over 8 Million chips by now.
