It was a better Day 1b at the EPT London as 389 players joined action and at the end of it, Maximilian Senft emerged chip leader with 223,000 chips. The Grand Connaught Rooms in London saw eight levels of poker game with 230 surviving the day. A total of 105 survivors from Day 1a will join the 230 surviving from Day 1b to enter Day 2.
Others who follow Austrian Maximilian to Day 2 include David Kitai with 163,100 chips, Chris Brammer with 161,200 chips and John Juanda with 156,100 chips. Earlier on Sunday, Dhru Patel had emerged Chip leader of Day 1a and he will be joining the survivors on Day 2. Others who will be seen in action on Day 2 include Paul Volpe, Vanessa Rousso, Daniel Negreanu and current GPI Rankings Leader Marvin Rettenmeier.
Players who hit the rail include Vanessa Selbst who finished runner up in the just concluded UKIPT High Rollers Event, Martin Finger who won the EPT Super High Roller Event and November Niner David Benefield.
Now both the flights of Day 1a and Day 1b will combine on Day 2 of EPT London. Registrations stay open till the start of Day 2 so we might see some more entrants. Keep watching this space for more updates from EPT London.
