WSOP.com takes lead in regulated online poker market in Nevada

pokerusaThe late starter has beaten the early bird. WSOP.com which started online poker in the regulated poker market in Nevada, almost four months after ultimatepoker.com did has overtaken the latter. In a rolling 7-day average of online poker traffic data from Poker Scout, an independent poker traffic tracking website, WSOP.com has surpassed Ultimate Poker.

According to stats available at Poker Scout, WSOP.com has had a 7-day average of 129 players while Ultimate Poker is behind with 123 players. Players in Nevada only have two options to choose from currently and Ultimate Poker was the first to enter when regulated online poker was allowed this year. It took the lions share of the traffic in Nevada but with the launch of WSOP.com two months back, there was a slot of speculation on which the latter would eat into the share of Ultmiate Poker.

It seems the poker pundits have been proved right and the poker players have taken a thorough look at both poker websites and now are making their choice. This 7-day average is just a reflection that WSOP.com has made inroads into Ultimate Pokers traffic; thanks to a superior gaming platform powered by 888 Holdings. Another notable feature that makes WSOP.com more acceptable and threatening to Ultimate Poker is the fact that it is MAC compliant. These are just starting numbers but they definitely go to prove something. WSOP.com is slowly but surely occupying a major piece in the Nevada online poker pie.
