Day 1c of the Macau Poker Cup(MPC) 20 was all about record breaking numbers. From the time that poker players started pouring in for the Red Dragon Main Event till registrations closed, the poker room was abuzz with the magical figure of 1000. While the final entries fell short by 5 to make a record turnout of 995 for the MPC20 Red Dragon Event, the final day 1c flight had a record entry of 416.
Now entries are closed and players will return today evening for Day 2. From a total of 995, 223 players now remain. Also standing amongst them are Indian poker players Aditya Agarwal, Akash Malik, Sumit Sapra, Sameer Guliani, Kunal Jain, Sukhpreet Singh Gurudatta and Sahil Agarwal.
The total prize pool is HK$ 9,651,000 and the top prize is the red beauty trophy of the Red dRagon and more than HK $ 2 Million. A total of 117 players will finish in the money and Day 2 will surely see the money bubble burst. The top 10 stacks at the start of Day 2 will see a Chinese domination with 7 out of 10 players in Top 10 from China. Lante Zhang is the biggest stack with 188,750 chips.
