The 2014 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure(PCA) Festival started off in Atlantis Resort on Paradise Island in the Bahamas on Sunday with the $100,000 Super High Roller Event and marked a star studded entry field. Poker’s elite and most sought after were in attendance but the play continued to be slow but steady.
After the completion of 8 levels of the poker tournament, German Martin Finger emerged in front with 829,000 chips. A total of 50 players have entered the Super High Rollers of the PCA 14 and 40 are still standing. Entries will go on till noon when Day 2 resumes. All eyes were on the current WSOP Champion Ryan Reiss who had entered his first Super high roller event, but unfortunately he hit the rail along with Bertrand Grospellier, Steven Silverman and Mike Watson. All those who exit still have the option to re-join but Reiss hadn’t joined back so far.
The PCA is a part of the European Poker Tour(EPT) and insightfully had the experienced EPT player Finger in lead. He is a regular in the EPT circle and has also been on the winners podium twice now with the 2011 EPT Prague Main Event win as well as 2013 EPT London Super High Roller triumph.
