Day 3 of the 2014 Aussie Millions Main Event is now done and dusted and Salvatore Fazzino is leading the final pack of 36 poker players. With 1,540,000 chips, he is followed closely by Darren Rebenwitz(1,232,000 chips), Scott Seiver(1,133,000 chips) and Sorel Mizzi(1,099,000 chips). The final hand of Day 3 was an enormous one when one time chip leader Gareth Dwyer was eliminated when he and Fazzino both flopped sets. Dwyer exit painfully short of Day 4 and Fazzino emerged in chip lead.
The Crown Casino at Melbourne witnessed huge activity as the playing field came down from 109 to 36. For 37 unlucky players who exit before the money bubble it was a bad start to Day 3. Luke Downes was the bubble boy as the final 72 rejoiced to be in the money of the 2014 Aussie Millions Main Event.Notable poker players who made the money but exit on Day 3 include Dennis Huntly(69th), Patrick Healy(64th), Aaron Lim(61st), Jarred Graham(45th) and Antonio Esfandiari(42nd).
Poker players still in contention include Jason Mercier, Raymond Wu, Jonathan Duhamel,Liv Boeree and Martin Rowe. Play begins on Day 4 in a couple of hours. OPN will be watching the action as the 36 come down to the much awaited final table at the 2014 Aussie Millions Main Event.
