Poker’s biggest festival, The World Series of Poker(WSOP) will be back at the Rio All Suite Hotel and Casino from May 27th-July 14th 2014 with a Main Event guarantee of $10 Million. The complete schedule of the WSOP was made available here today which mentions a total of 65 events for its 45th Annual Series. The Rio will be the host for the 10th consecutive year and the Poker Extravaganza will up an unprecedented $200 Million at stake this time around.
The $10K buyin NLHE Main Event will kick off with three starting flights from Jul 5th and the $10 Million guarantee will mean that the winner will receive the second highest pay day in WSOP’s history. Previously Jamie Gold took home $12 Million for his 2006 Main Event victory and last year’s winner Ryan Reiss was richer by $8,361,570. The final table will also mark the return of the November Nine with the two night event scheduled for Nov 11th and 12th, 2014.
The historic 2012 event of Big One for One Drop with a $1 Million buy-in will also be back after taking a break in 2013. Antonio Esfandiari had won the record top prize of $18 Million in the inaugural event topping a 48 player field. This event is expected to attract a bigger crowd this time and the winner might get a payday of $20 Million. Other special events will include the Millionaire Maker(May 31) and the Small one for Big Drop(July 3).
“For ten years we have tried to raise the bar on tournament poker,” said WSOP Executive Director Ty Stewart. “There is real optimism 2014 can be our biggest year yet with an anticipated $200 million in prize money to be paid out this summer. With new satellites and daily tournaments exclusively on WSOP.com and a plethora of side events, there is more reason than ever to make the trip to poker mecca.”

- Omaha Hi-Lo Split-8 or Better (June 1-3)
- No Limit 2-7 Draw Lowball (June 3-5)
- Seven Card Razz (June 6-8)
- H.O.R.S.E. (June 8-10)
- Pot Limit Hold’em (June 12-14)
- No Limit Hold’em Six-Handed (June 14-16)
- Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo Split-8 or Better (June 17-19)
- No-Limit Hold’em Heads Up (June 19-21)
- Limit Hold’em (June 26-28)
- Seven Card Stud (July 1-3)
- Pot Limit Omaha (July 3-5)
