The eight handed final table of the Asian Poker Tour(APT) Asian Series Cebu Main Event has the perfect international flavour to it with all players coming from different countries. The cross boundary line-up isn’t the only thing that makes the final table. This unique final eight is led by a female poker player in the form of Chinese Mo Yong Wei. With a huge 1,317,000 chips, she has Australian Ivan Zalac as her closest competitor.
Day 3 began today with 36 poker players, all of whom were in the money and guaranteed PHP 100,000 but what they were playing for was APT laurels and the top prize of PHP13,341,000. The man who lead the pack of 36 when the day started, Stephen Miles from UK is now 3rd with 838,000 chips. Do Hoang Anh (Vietnam) sits with 708,000 chips, Azusa Maeda (Japan) with 567,000 chips, Paul Hockin (New Zealand) with 460,000 and Sun Tan (Malaysia) with 246,000 are the other contenders for the title at APT Cebu.
Some big names who crashed out during the day include Czardy Rivera(28th place), Daryl Green(24th place), Samad Razavi (21st place) and Bryan Huang in 12th place. The final table bubble was Antonio Martins who ironically had a healthy stack throughout the day. In another side event of the day, Percy Yung won the PLO Turbo event for PHP 141,000 beating a field of 113 runners.
