Women’s Day came three days too late at the 2014 Macau Millions as the Main Event resumed to have its first women survivors of the tourney. The first two women to make it Day 2 of the Main Event of the 2014 Macau Millions were Percy Yung and Team PokerStars Pro Vivian Im, both of whom had very contrasting days. It was a good Day 1d after 3 days of break as 335 runners turned up and 24 survived the day.
While Yung came close to bubbling and just about made it to the pack of survivors, Im was one of the leaders and finished with 294,000 chips, third overall for the event. Ruan Zhaojun finished the day in front and also chipped a lot with his big stack as the day ended with 328,500 chips.
As a rule, only the top 7% contenders make it to Day 2 from the Day 1 flights and many notable names couldn’t make it. Several players who took their shot today but didn’t make it through include Bryan Huang, Celina Lin, Iori Yogo, Alexandre Chieng, Sixiao “Juicy” Li and Lacey Jones. On the other hand, there were some like Jack Lee who have made it to Day 2 twice. But for those who haven’t made it so far, they still have two more shots at Day 2. The format of this $2200 Main event of the 2014 Macau Millions allows for players to fire as many bullets across any of the 6 Day 1 Flights to grab a chance to progress to Day 2.
As Day 1e will soon start at the PokerStars LIVE City of Dreams casino in Macau, 55 players have now made it to Day 2.
