The Deltin Royale Poker Cup Main Event is now down to 52 players after the two starting flights of Day 1 ended. Day 2 will take place on Sunday and play down till a champion is crowned. The 49K buyin Main event of the DR Cup saw 60 entrants on Day 1A and another 27 on Day 1b. Out of these 52 now remain who will meet on Sunday and play down for the top prize and the prestigious title.
Dimitry Pokabobov leads the pack into Day 2 with 119,875 chips while Jaydeep Dawar is close with 117,225 chips. Amit Jain will be in 3rd place when Sunday’s play begins with 115,325 chips. Also in the foray for a double title is Event 1: 15k Freezeout Winner Sudhir Donepudi. Shashank Sidharth who won the Main Event in the second edition of the DR Cup has also made it to Day 2. Other notable players entering Day 2 are Kanishk Bansal, Kunal Chandra and Sahil Agarwal.
Casino Deltin Royale is hosting the 4th Edition of the DR Cup aboard Royale Poker Room. While the DR Cup Main Event, earlier clubbed with the now shelved ‘The Great Indian Shuffle’ had upped the prize pool guarantee to 50 Lakhs is now a 20 Lakhs guarantee event. But with the huge number of entrants, the guarantee has been met and crossed overwhelmingly.
