Day 2 at the partypoker.net World Poker Tour(WPT) National Canadian Spring Championship(WPTCSC) came to an end with 39 players remaining at Playground Poker in Montreal, Canada. There were 311 players at the start of the day and they soon charged down into the money when the top 126 players remained.
The big names which took the cash were Mike Leah (104th place), Amir Babakhani (75th place), Mike Sexton (74th place), Daniel Schreiber (45th), and Tony Dunst (44th place). The other well-known players that busted before the money includedTeam partypoker’s Kara Scott, Dylan Wilkeron, Laurence Grondin, Bill Kontaratos and Xuan Liu.
Maria Lim with 1,758,000 was the chip leader at the end of the play. Eric Afriat (1,700,000) came a close second, followed by two-time WPT Montreal Montreal final table finisher Sylvain Siebert (1,655,000) and Alexander Wong (1,402,000). Other familiar faces still on the hunt for the final table include Samuel Chartier, AlexandreLavigne, and Eric Afriat.
Out of the 50 players qualified for entry into this event via partypoker, 18 survived to Day 2. Only one of those 18, survived to Day 3 – Simon Quinta. Day 3 starts at 9:30 p.m IST on Monday night (31st Mar). The field will not stop until the WPT final table for 6 is set.
