Raiden Kan emerged as the chip leader who bagged 156,400 chips in Day 1b of the Asia Pacific Poker Tour (APPT)Main Event in Seoul. 138 players hit the tables but only 50 managed to last the eight levels that were played. Many distinguished players will play in Day 2; however, unfortunately the journey ended for Team PokerStars Pro Bertrand “ElkY” Grospellier and Raymond Wu who were busted in Level 8.
Former Aussie Millions Main Event finalist Sam Cohen was also present and with her strong start winning her a big pot, she finished the day with 107,700 chips. On the other hand, former ANZPT Sydney winner Michael Kanaan was knocked out in the final level of play.
Others who are moving on to Day 2 were Ryan ‘piggysnipz’ Pignatelli who was seated between with between Juicy Li, who finished sixth in this event last year, and online star Dylan ‘WhiteRabbito’ Honeyman. Pignatelli bagged 59,200, Honeyman 19,000 and Li 52,400.
Also moving on is Any Chan who is the runner-up in the first ever ACOP Macau. He finished with 95,300 after playing against Kanaan and Grospellier for most of the day.
