Poker action in the Asia Pacific region shifts to familiar stables again this week as Asia Pacific Poker Tour(APPT) Season 8 comes calling to Macau. Hosted at the PokerStars LIVE at the City of Dreams Casino in Macau, APPT 8 Macau will run from May 15th-25th 2014 and will feature the big names locally as well as the Asian poker scene. Also on the cards will be the APPT Player of the Year(POY) Season 8 points which can be won through the 12 events.
Hao Chen who won the Macau Millions in March 2014 sits atop the APPT POY 2014 with 2800 points followed by Victor Teng, Buyanjargal Bold and Percy Yung; all with 2400 points. This outing will give the players to cement their positions in the POY battle at the APPT.
The Main Event Satellites for the poker fest started from 14th May onwards but Event 1 will kick off from today. What will follow is a total of 12 events with the HK$25,000 buy-in main event starting on 21st May and the final table for the same happening on 25th May. The HK$100K Event High Roller is also a sought after event for this tourney. A Red Dragon Satellite for the next Macau Poker Cup(MPC) is scheduled on the penultimate day of APPT8 Macau.
