The two flights of Day 1 of the APT Philippines 2014 Main Event drew 90 and 118 entrants with 50 and 67 surviving respectively on each starting flight. Do Hoang Anh leads the pack of 117 who have made the cut to Day 2 with 87,725 chips followed by Jim Bonanno(79,375 chips) and Annie Bordallo(75,175 chips). The Resorts World Manila was the venue for all the tournament regs from the Asian poker scene to take to the felt and show their mettle.
Other poker players who also sailed through to Day 2 include Richard Marquez( 73,525 chips) , SJ Kim(72,375 chips), Henrick Tollefson(57,325 chips), Iori Yogo(49,000 chips) Some of the the side events that happened during these days include the Dafapoker No Limit Hold’em event which was won by Tran Xuan Truc of Finland. A huge crowd was witnessed for this event and also for the Ladies of Poker Event which was won by Andrea Tiglao.
Amongst Indian poker players, Rajesh Sitlani survived Day 1b and made it to Day 2 with more than 50000 chips. Uday Singh Patil holds around 24,000 chips while Srinivas Polishety starts the day as a small stack with around 15000 chips. Day 2 will begin at 1 PM local time when the 117 remaining players will come back to get a shot to the top title of the Asian poker circuit.
