The Asian Poker Tour(APT) Philippines Day 2 ended with 35 survivors and Day 1a No 2 Annie Bordallo of Guam coming up on top. With 303,000 chips she is in pole position followed by Mikal Blomlie(286,000 chips) and Zhao Zi Yang(209,500 chips). The Resorts World Manila saw a lot of drama on Day 2 as the 116 remaining playing field went down to 35. When Day 3 starts in a couple of hours, the money bubble will burst and a final table will emerge.
Indian Uday Sinh Patil is keeping the spirits alive from the nation on a day when Rajesh Sitlani and Srinivas Polishetty exit. While Patil holds 90,000 chips, Rajesh Sitlani exit close to the Day 2 end. Patil is 19/35 when Day 3 will start and will be rallied upon by other Indian poker players who are also playing at APT Philippines. On the rail for him will be Amit Ajwani, Ali Ashraf and Romit Advani and Sitlani and Polishetty. In other good news for the Indians, Amit Ajwani finished 4th in the $350 DafaPoker No Limit Hold’em event and Patil was 10th in the same.
Notable poker players from the Asian circuit making it to Day 3 include Bryan Huang, Henrick Tollefsen, Tetsuya Tshuchikawa and SJ Kim. Kim who was a big stack when Day 2 started was crippled a couple of times and starts Day 3 with around 50,000 chips.
At the same occasion, the venue for upcoming APT Asian Series Cambodia was also announced as Queenco Casino and Hotel in Sihanoukville. It was last month announced by APT that Cambodia has been added as an Asian Series stop for 2014. With the organisers from the Cambodia in attendance at Resorts World Manila, the official announcement for the venue was made. APT Asian Series Cambodia will be held from July 23 to 30th, 2014.
