WSOP veterans return to claim their second and third bracelets in Events 31,32,33,34,35 and a first time bracelet winner in Event 36.
Event #31: $1,500 No-Limit Hold’em
Winning his second bracelet and first place prize of $418,435 is Brett Shaffer after defeating RJ Sullivan in the heads up as well as 1631 players. Shaffer won his first bracelet at last year’s WSOP in a $1,500 no-limit holdem event. Shaffer took down pros like Matt Stout, who was also the chip lead in the final day. This event also drew players like Vanessa Selbst, Darryll Fish, Antonio Esfandiari etc. who did not make it to the money.

Event #32: $10,000 Six-Handed No-Limit Hold’em Championship
Silencing his critics Joe Cada claimed his second gold bracelet and first prize money of $670,041 after defeating fellow bracelet winner heads up, Jeremy Ausmus. Cada won the 2009 World Series of Poker Main Event but finished runner- up to Carter Phillips in 2012 and finished at the fourth position in two events in 2013. Cada topped a very impressive final table including JC Tran and Erick Lindgren, both two time WSOP bracelet winners.

Event #33: $1,000 No-Limit Hold’em
Winning his third gold WSOP bracelet and $288,744 is Dutch Boyd after less than seven levels and 154 hands of play on Day 3. The heads-up battle again Steven Norden took only 16 hands. Boyd added to his previous victories in a $2,500 Short Handed No Limit Hold’em in 2006 and a $2,500 Limit Hold’em – Six Handed in 2010.

Event #34: $1,500 Seven-Card Stud
Eric Buchman topped a field of 345 players to take home his second WSOP bracelet and first place prize of $118,785. Buchman battled poker pro Alex Kravchenko in the heads-up as well as 4 others who returned on the final day including Bryn Kenney. Buchman has a bracelet in limit hold’em in 2010 along with a second-place finish in eight-game, a second-place finish in limit hold’em, and a third-place finish in stud at the WSOP.

Brian Yoon nabbed his second WSOP bracelet and a $633,341 first-place prize, overcoming a field of 550 players including Josh Arieh in the heads-up match. Yoon won his first bracelet last year in $1,111 The Little One for One Drop. A planned 4 day event turned into 3 days with 23 players returning on the last day. Players like Ravi Raghavan (21st – $18,095) and Olivier Busquet (23rd – $18,095) were busted early in the day.

Steven Wolansky took home his first WSOP bracelet and the $89,483 first-place prize overcoming 241 players. Only 6 players returned for the final day, including German footballer Max Kruse who settled for third place and Joseph Cheong who came in second. Wolansky missed out on the bracelet last year when he finished runner-up in the $2,500 Eight-Game Mix.
