Fulltiltpoker.com has changed its website URL to fulltilt.com and fulltilt.eu, in a step that industry reports suggest is a move to Full Tilt’s effort to re-brand itself. As of now, the change is only specific to the URL and the website still calls itself as Full Tilt Poker but the move is being looked upon as part of the larger vision of the new FTP owners Amaya Group to turn into a consolidated gaming site and not merely a poker portal.
Even the official twitter page of FTP, continues to flaunt the name Full Tilt Poker but insiders believe that the name change will be complete. Full Tilt has been adding other online games to its repertoire since its re-launch and Amaya when it took over the Rational Group(the previous owners of Pokerstars and FTP) had announced that they intend to sustain growth by venturing into online casino, sports betting and social gaming. Sports betting, it is learnt that will be launched as early as next year.
Earlier in 2013, FTP had also made its intentions clear about adding other casino games to its aresenal. This move to drop the word ‘Poker’ from its name just makes it clear that the intention is the same to making FTP a consolidated online gaming/casino site. Let’s see what announcements come from the website next!
