888poker, a leading online poker provider, has recently signed a sponsorship deal with the World Series of Poker (WSOP) to become the leading sponsor of 2015 WSOP in Las Vegas and the 2015 WSOP Europe. The 46th Annual World Series of Poker is set to take place at the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas from May 27 to July 14, and will offer a record 68 bracelet tournaments, including 11 brand new events.
This Gibraltar based company has been a platform to Caesars Interactive Entertainment, Inc. (CIE) online sites in Nevada, New Jersey and the United Kingdom. However, back in 2006, 888poker was forced to leave the US market because of the UIGEA, but after signing an agreement with Caesars Interactive Entertainment (CIE) in 2013 the company has grown to become the largest online poker provider in the US, serving all the three regulated states of Nevada, Delaware and New Jersey.
As part of the sponsorship, outside selected territories (United States, British Columbia & Quebec, Canada, Mexico, India, Italy and France) 888poker will be the only company to run official online satellite qualifiers and online WSOP themed promotions. Now, 888poker has rights to directly register players online into official WSOP tournaments, and award them a new “Double Up” package worth $14,000 to the WSOP, including an entry to both the 2015 WSOP Online Bracelet Event (Event #64) and the WSOP Main Event (Event #68). 888poker will also qualify players to the 2015 WSOP Europe.
Furthermore, the multi-steps satellites system of 888poker will be running 24/7, with buy-ins starting from one cent, thereby providing every poker player a lifetime opportunity to take part in world’s prestigious poker tournament. Nevertheless, WSOP.com will remain the exclusive U.S. home online for players to satellite into the land-based WSOP events.
