One of the best advantages of playing Online Poker is the choice of multi-tabling. Agree? Most of us and especially the professional ones like to grind 2 or more table simultaneously. The pros of the industry can be seen playing on over 6 or sometimes 10 tables at a time. Every player plays on multiple tables as per his/her convenience levels as well as the formats of the game he is the most adept in. In the 7th chapter of “Strategy With Sushi”, Aditya Sushant talks about how to do multi-tabling like a pro.

Q1. How is multi-tabling beneficial in poker?

Sushi – When you play 1 or 2 tables at a time, it gets harder to focus as you keep waiting between the hands. Multi-tabling keeps you in the groove as you play hands after hands without any lag. Also, a lot of volume in playing multiple tables means better results in the long run.

Q2. Which one is the easiest to play on multiple tables – Cash games, Tourneys or Sit n Gos?

Sushi – I think Sit n Gos are the easiest of all 3 to play on multiple tables simultaneously. First, because there are too many formats available. Secondly, you don’t face any situation in Sit n Gos where you have to concentrate and make complicated decisions. It’s a straight forward simple gameplay.

Q3. Multi-tabling tourneys of different levels, cash tables with tourneys or a mix of variants – how should manage it all?

Sushi – Playing MTTs of different levels simultaneously requires a focused mind as you need to bet/raise according to different bind levels on different tables and also play as per the different formats. I won’t suggest mixing up variants or cash games with tourneys unless you have a long experience of playing all the games.

Q4. What should one be careful of while multi-tabling?

Sushi – While playing on multiple tables, you should be very careful of not making silly mistakes like playing the moves of one table on the another. It may sound funny but, it happens sometimes that you mistake action on one table with the other table. One should play as many tables as he/she is comfortable with. Overplaying tables makes you vulnerable to commit mistakes.

Q5. How poker analysis softwares come handy while multi-tabling?

Sushi – Analysis tools and softwares are very helpful while playing on multi-tables. When you play one or two tables, it’s pretty easy to follow the action. When number of tables increase, poker softwares assist in making decisions with their data analysis and record on player tendencies.
