The 4th edition of India Poker Championship after its re-launch in January this year is set to return at the Deltin Royale poker room in August. The week of Independence will bring some crazy poker action in IPC events with two new events announced including the 60K High Roller. The 6-day schedule kicks off on 11th August and the series will climax with the newly introduced Greed Event on 16th August.
Keeping 3 events and the mega satellite similar to their previous editions, the organizers have added an extra day in the roster of August season of IPC. One of the richest live poker series in India went a step ahead to announce the High Roller event which comes at a buy-in of Rs 60,000. Sunday, August 16 will draw the greedy you to decide whether you want to share the prize pool with the remaining field or you want to make most of your stack.
The April edition of IPC was a huge success with 4 events including the 30K Main Event which Karan Khushalani triumphed playing for the first time in Goa. Â Bangalore boy Vidwath Shetty took down the opening event 5K Warm Up with the top prize of Rs 2,50,000. Divyesh Shah of Mumbai won his first live tournament in the 10K Freezeout event taking home Rs 3,60,000. The April edition climaxed with Rajesh Rajpopat winning the 10K Super Knockout event on 7th June.
Although, the attendance saw a little downward trend in the June season but the organizers are confident of hosting a bigger field in August as it will be the Independence Day weekend. Once again the poker enthusiasts from all over the country will assemble in the plush poker room onboard the Deltin Royale Casino in Goa. As always, a variety of players as in the top pros of the country, hundreds of budding players, some of the best online grinders and a lot of new faces are expected to hit the city to vie for the IPC title events.
The opening night on 11th August will host the 6K Mega satellite which has 5 packages up for grab. One can play all the IPC events of the August season except the High Roller by winning a package in the Mega satellite. The first event of the series tables on 12th August with a buy-in of 5K and a guaranteed prize pool of 5 Lacs. 10K Kickoff event which brings a prize pool of 10 Lacs up for grab will be played on 13th August. The biggest event in terms of buy-in and prize pool – 60K High Roller will start at 6 PM the next evening. 30K Main Event which is a 2-day event will start on 15th August and climax alongside the 8K Greed event the next day.
