While most of the poker action has condensed down to the Rio in Las Vegas for the 2015 WSOP, the online grinders kept the virtual felt busy with several MTTs this weekend. Asia Online Poker Series climaxed on PokerStars while The Adda52 Poker Millionaire Tour returned for the first series of events in June. The Indian online grinders won 3 tourneys on PokerStars and amassed huge prize sum in the 3 PMT events on Adda52.com.
The weekend started with Aravindhan aka tiltalert86 bagging $2,630.76 in The Big $8.80, $30K Gtd in the 3rd place which stood 2nd in the money list by the end of the week. In the first PMT event on Adda52.com, jspade170 triumphed the Rs 750 buy-in tourney bagging Rs 28,500. Arsh ‘Bigggtymer‘ Grover was running deep in the PS $11 NL Hold’em [1R1A], $10K Gtd but, unfortunately fell in the 8th place bagging $271.
Saturday saw Vishal ‘wishcool’ Surana taking down the biggest PMT event – 5 Lac Finale on Adda52.com. Vishal took home Rs 1.6 Lacs in the top prize while Pranay Kapoor aka mitarachi89 bagged Rs 97,500 in the runner-up place.
Abhishek Rathod aka abhi147 brought the 2nd PokerStars tourney win for India on the weekend. Abhishek won the PS $13.50 NL Hold’em [Knockout], $12K Gtd bagging $1,877.94. Raahil ‘rbhatia3‘ Bhatia came very close to win the PS $109 NL Hold’em [Turbo, Re-Entry], $8K Gtd but, unfortunately fell against the villain in the heads up bagging $1,850. AnthraX786 made a final table finish in the PS $33 Saturday Speedway [Turbo], $40K Gtd for $2,231.55.
Sabyasachi ‘Infusion_leo‘ Chakraborty triumphed the Event #9 of the Asia Online Poker Series adding $860 more to his online earnings. Saby finished 21st on the AOPS leaderboard which brought him 4 tickets of The Big $5.50 tourneys. In the PS $27 NL Hold’em [Turbo, Knockout], $9K Gtd, Saby made a valiant 5th place finish pocketing $613.
On Sunday, Sahil ‘$lim$hady19’ Chutani brought the biggest cash prize for India this weekend on PokerStars winning the PS $13.50 NL Hold’em [Knockout], $12K Gtd. Sahil won $2,960.65 in the top prize. Bigggtymer was again in the hunt of the top place in the PS $21 NL Hold’em [Super-Knockout], $17.5K Gtd but, his tourney run came to an end in 8th place for $356. Later, Arsh joined the action on 888 Poker in The $5,000 Twister. He won $1,178 in the 2nd place, once again missing the top spot. In the 2 Lac Finale event of PMT on Adda52.com, frankinstain outplayed the field taking home Rs 65,952.
