Indian Poker Pot – Week 34: Danish Shaikh Bags a 5-figure Cash of $21,536

After Independence Day celebration last week, it was time for some high voltage poker action and the Indian MTT grinders had a blast at the online felt. Week 34 of 2015 (Aug 17-23) saw some of the finest performances by Indian poker players. Danish Shaikh became the “OPN Star of the Week” by winning $21,536 in the $215 Sunday 2nd Chance, $160K Gtd on PokerStars. Indian players bagged 7 tourney wins and over 15 final table finishes in the online tourneys this week.

Monday to Thursday

The 4 days of Week 34 saw only 6 notable performances in online tourneys by Indian grinders. raveoholic007 started off with a 3^rd place finish in the $27 NL Hold’em [Turbo], $5K Gtd on Monday for $616. He was again the lone contributor to the Indian Poker Pot on Tuesday with $523 finishing 4^th in the $27 NL Hold’em [Hyper-Turbo], $5K Gtd. Akash “Buddhaluv” Sanghvi notched up the first notable score on Wednesday in The Hot $109 [Turbo], $10K Gtd on PokerStars. Akash won $2,197 finishing 3^rd in this tourney. Spine619 also made a 3^rd place finish won bagging $4,263 in The Big $22, $40K Gtd. Another 3^rd place finish came from Sharad Rao aka keenyle who pocketed $400 in the $2,500 Guaranteed Deep Stack on 888 Poker. Sharad went on to win the $4,000 Guaranteed Deep Stack on 888 Poker on Thursday bagging $999.

Friday

Friday saw the return of Poker Millionaire Tour on Adda52.com with the 1 Lac Gtd event which vikram2013 won for Rs 30,684. Akash aka Buddhaluv continued his good run and won the $109 NL Hold’em [Turbo], $10K Gtd on PokerStars for $2,829. He made another Final Table finish in the The Hot $109 [Turbo], $10K Gtd for $480. Sahil “$lim$hady19” Chutani notched up the top prize of $2,351 winning $22 NL Hold’em, $10K Gtd on PokerStars. He didn’t stop here and won another tourney on 888 Poker where he plays under the screen name of bluffme20. Sahil won The $5,000 Swordfish for $1,270.

Saturday

Sabyasachi “Infusion_leo” Chakraborty who celebrated his birthday on Saturday won Full Tilt $2,000 Guarantee for $640adding to his birthday bash. He made a final table finish in the $33 NL Hold’em, $4K Gtd on PokerStars for $375. Arvindhan continued his fine form in online tourneys winning the $8.80+R NL Hold’em, $10K Gtd on PokerStars for $2,571. Buddhaluv added another $1,057 in the $109 NL Hold’em [Turbo,1R1A], $12K Gtd finishing 5th. The 5 Lac Gtd PMT on Adda52 was won by uday219 for Rs 160,000 while saroman03 place runner-up taking home Rs 97,500.

Sunday

Kunal Patni aka rajmalhotra started off the Sunday with a 6th place finish in a 6061-players field in The Hotter $16.50 [Turbo], $80K Gtd on PokerStars for $2,954.73. Last week, Rajat Sharma fetched the biggest score of the week on Sunday and the same happened this week. Danish Shaikh won $21,536 finishing 4^th in the $215 Sunday 2nd Chance, $160K Gtd on PokerStars. The tourney ran till morning on Monday and Danish made a 4-way deal grabbing the maximum out of it. Buddhaluv made yet another final table finish bagging $3,131 in the $51 NL Hold’em [Hyper-Turbo], $30K Gtd – Sunday Edition. liyzag1 added $3,725 to his tourney winnings finishing 3^rd in the $27 NL Hold’em [Turbo, Progressive Super-Knockout] on PokerStars.

Amit “bblacklegend” Jain added $3,190 to his online winnings in the $55 NL Hold’em [Deep Stacks], $25K Gtd – Sunday Edition on PokerStars finishing 3^rd. Ankit “aob1986” bajaj bagged $815 for the 6^th place finish in the The Hotter $109 [Turbo], $15K Gtd. Sahil Chutani won the 1,000 Gtd Turbo Knockout for $487 and earned another $684 placing runner-up in the $2,500 Gtd Deep Stack on 888 Poker.
