This weekend, it was the Adda52 LIVE 7 Lac guaranteed series at Rockets Poker Room creating the poker buzz in the city. The 3-event series started off on Friday with the 2 Lac GTD event and culminated with the 1000 + 500 Bounty event on Sunday. The Main event of the series which brought Rs 5 Lacs in guaranteed prize pool was played on Saturday.
The first event of the series saw 91 entries (including 1 re-entry allowed per player till Level 5) stretching the poker action for about 7 hours. In the end, it was Vijender clinching the victory against Rohit in the heads-up. The duo struck a heads-up deal securing Rs 45,000 for both and left Rs 14,000 for the winner. In the last hand, Rohit went all-in with hQ d9 and got snap called by Vijender holding s1 h1. Vijender hit another Ace completing his set on the turn to win the tournament. The 5 Lac GTD Main event begun at 7:35 on Saturday and was played down to Level 19. Srinivasan a tournament regular of Bangalore triumphed the main event battle bagging Rs 129,000 with the trophy. Ankur was the first runner-up earning Rs 114,000 and Guru placed 3rd with Rs 79,000. 9 places were paid in this event while the final table of 10 decided to secure the money bubble with Rs 9,000. After 2 regular Texas Holdem events, it was the time for bounty hunt on Sunday. For each elimination, a player could earn Rs 500 in bounty prize apart from the prize pool. Deepak Kempegowda won the tournament for Rs 20,500 in the top prize and 7 bounties worth Rs 3,500. Preeti finished in the runner-up place while Madhusudan placed 3rd in this event.
