This is not the first time when a poker player’s bank account has been frozen. Doug Polk tweeted that his bank account with substantial amount was sealed for 2 months in past.
Online poker players as well companies have been facing such banking issues in past due to misunderstanding of the legality aspect. In May 2014, Garden State iGaming companies saw over half of customers’ credit card payments rejected. Since then, New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement officials have made a point to hold meetings with financial institutions and explain that their product is legal in the state.
