Yes, lots of females can be seen competing at the live and online poker felts in various world famous tournaments. Poker can be played by anyone and you can win fortune as long as you are good at it. 1.Vanessa Selbst ( United States)
When we talk about female poker players, one name that quickly pops up is Vanessa Selbst. She is one of the most recognized poker players with two WSOP bracelets. She has won the Partouche Poker Tour for a career-high $1.8m in prize. Interestingly enough, the female poker pro has two World Poker Tour final tables to her name. She grabbed headlines at this year’s PCA with two final table finishes, earning more than $600,000 in each final table. This year has been all good for her. She cashed in several big money events, including the WSOP $ 10,000 No Limit Hold’em 6-Handed Championship (Event #39) in Las Vegas back in June where she finished in the 9th place, taking home $ 49,677 for her efforts. Her best live cash remains $1,823,430, while her lifetime earnings are estimated around $11,843,153.
2.Kathy Liebert (United States)
Liebert is yet another popular female poker player with one WSOP final table to her name in 1997. The lady poker pro has several cashes in various big money tournaments though, the highlight of her career includes her $1m first prize in the Party Poker Million in 2002. This year has not been bad at all. She had several cashes including her 17th place finish for $ 15,874 in the $ 1,500 No Limit Hold’em Summer Solstice at 47th World Series of Poker (WSOP) 2016, Las Vegas back in June 2016. Just back in August, she came 4th in the $ 550 No Limit Hold’em of WPT Legends Of Poker, Los Angeles for $ 4,695.Her best live cash till date includes $1,000,000, while her total live earnings amount to $6,103,284.
3.Annette Obrestad ( Norway)
After proving her mettle in online poker, the lady poker pro Obrestad first shot into global fame as a teenager when she won the inaugural World Series of Poker Europe in back 2007, winning more than $2m. Interestingly enough, she has made it to final tables in the various world famous tournaments including European Poker Tour and the Aussie Millions. Last year she finished in the top 100 at the World Series of Poker Main Event held in Las Vegas. She has several cashes to her name this year. Obrestad finished 4th for $ 2,643 in the € 300 + 30 NM No Limit Hold’em-Ladies Event at 2016 Norwegian Championships & JP Masters, Dublin. She also cashed for 14th place finish in the $ 1,100 No Limit Hold’em #10 at Deep Stack Extravaganza I, Las Vegas, taking home $ 3,000 for her efforts. Her best live cash however remains $2,013,733, while her total earnings are estimated to $3,929,553.
4.Liv Boeree ( England)
One of the youngest female poker players in the list is Boeree. She is still in her twenties but has an impressive resume at both live as well as online felts. Couched by Phil Hellmuth, she had a number of impressive scores including her victory in the EPT Sanremo in 2010, which earned the British pro around $1.7m, the biggest score of her career. The lady poker player also has several cashes in the World Series of Poker Main Events in Las Vegas and Cannes. Her biggest cash this year came when she finished 8th in the $ 10,000 + 400 No Limit Hold’em at Bellagio Cup XII, Las Vegas, earning $ 64,990 for her efforts. Apart from this, she also cashed out for $ 3,277 for 29th place finish in the WSOP $ 1,000 No Limit Hold’em Top Up Turbo back in June,2016. She finished 11th in the € 10,000 + 200 No Limit Hold’em – Turbo Super Knockout 8Max at EPT – 12 – FPS – 6 – Grand Final, Monte Carlo, taking home $ 9,954. Her best live cash till date includes $1,698,300, while her total live earnings are estimated to $3,152,648.
5.Muskan Sethi (India)
The first female poker player from India and ex-Adda52 pro, Muskan Sethi travels to various parts of the world for poker. The lady poker from Delhi who wanted to become a tennis player earns money from poker and uses it for social causes. She took part in PokerStars tournament, which is all about being among the Top 20 poker players in the world. Very soon, Muskan found herself challenging well-known international players. Among 700,000 online players, Muskan finished 4th. Also, she is the first Indian woman who takes part in several WSOP events. Back in 2014, she finished 55th in the WSOP $ 1,500 No Limit Hold’em (Event #55), earning $ 7,827. This year also, she cashed in several events including the $ 600 No Limit Hold’em #31 Superstack at Deep Stack Extravaganza III, Las Vegas where she stood 16th for $ 2,333, taking home her biggest cash for the year 2016. She finished 7th for $ 538 at India’s richest and biggest poker series Deltin Poker Tournament (DPT) back in January 2016.
