With 512 players joining the Red Dragon Main Event of Macau Poker Cup on day 1C yesterday, the total tally crossed the 1000 mark this season as expected by Mr. Danny McDonagh Director of LIVE Poker, PokerStars Asia Pacific. Out of the record breaking 1,075 entries across 3 flights, 259 are returning back today at the PokerStars LIVE, City of Dream, Macau for the Day 2 of the Main Event. Huitong Cao of China is leading with 232,600 chips followed by Mokhammad Kamel (210,600) and Houmao Hua (201,400).
Team India joined the Main Event action across different flight days and 8 Indians could survive for the Day 2 of the Main Event. Aman Dhamija leads the Team India in Red Dragon hunt with 102,500 chips which place him 36th in the overall chip count. Alok Agarwal (97,400), Pranay Kapoor (85,700), Vidur Sethi (71,700), Shravan Chhabria (69,900), Raghav Bansal (62,600), Nikhil Maheswari (38,600) and Dhaval Mudgal (32,300) are the other Indians entering Day 2 of the MPC24 Main Event.
Aditya Agarwal and Kartik Ved were the 2 Indian players entering the Main event on Day 1A but unfortunately both of them got eliminated by the end of days play. On Day 1C, the 2 Adda52 Pros Kunal Patni and Madan Kumar joined the Main event but couldn’t make it to the Day 2. Kunal posted on his Facebook:
Yuefeng Pan (95,700), Zhenru Xie (73,400), Raymond Wu (73,000) and Tom Alner (49,000) are the past Red Dragon champions entering the Day 2 this season. 134 players of China are in the Day 2 of the Main Event including the overall chip leader Cao Huitong which shows the higher probability of a Chinese slaying the dragon this season.
