Earlier this year, PokerStars announced that all their live events will be absorbed into PokerStars Championship and the Pokerstars Festival. However, people were not sure how this would happen, but PokerStars has now released the schedule for the first part of this year to give poker players and fans a clear picture of the events scheduled for 2017.
The Schedule is as follows:

PokerStars’ Director of Live Events, Edgar Stuchly, has said, “PokerStars has an incredibly rich live events heritage, having hosted more than 560 tournament series, attracted more than 800,000 entries and awarded more than $1.5 billion in prize money. The PokerStars Championship and PokerStars Festival events are an enhancement of the existing PokerStars sponsored live events, helping to take our vision for live poker to a whole new level.”
There is all the way good news for the Asian community, as the Macau stop is included for the first half of the year’s schedule. The dream city Macau will be playing host to PokerStars Championship Macau, which will be an 11-day Festival and will have the following highlights:

It is reported that all events of €/$/£10,000 or more will retain the previous 12%-15% payout structure, while others events payout an expanded 17%-20% of the field, but will adhere to a 20%. Till now, no announcement has been made regarding other stops of the former Asian Pacific Poker Tour (APPT), which include Korea, Australia, Philippines. However, poker community should hold their breath in the hopes of the APPT being included in the calender for the schedule of the second half of the year 2017.
