The APT Finale Macau 2016 has been running since the last week at the Casino Lisboa with the HKD11,000 buy-in Main Event, which drew a record 273 entries at an APT Main event this year. Yesterday, the HKD11,000 buy-in Main Event was finally down to final 8 players among whom India’s India`s Praveen Dwarkanath stood in 6th place with 660,000 in chips. Among other Indian players who made to Day 3 of theAPT Finale main event included the well-known Vivek Rughani, who cashed HKD23,600 for 27th place finish and Madan Kumar who fell short of the money.
Final 8 action has resumed today and the field is now down to just 5 players. The first player among final 8 to get eliminated was India’s Praveen Dwarkanath who ran well throughout the APT Main Event and was the chip leader at the end of Day 2. However, he hit a couple of bad bumps on Day 3 and his stack was below average. At today’s Final 8, Dwarkanath’s run for the title came to an end when his As-8h was beaten by Luo’s Js-Js on a board of 5c-Ks-9s-10c-2d. Praveen finished in 8th place for HKD70,800. The next eliminations was Yuan Hang Zhong who finished in 7th place for HKD89,100. Finally, Xi Xiang Luo got busted in 6th place. He earned HKD 112,700 for his efforts. Now only 5 players left battling it out for the APT Finale Main Event title.
