2017 Caribbean Poker Party took place in Punta Cana in the Caribbean with millions of dollars in prizes guaranteed between 17th– 25th November 2017. The festival featured several prestigious events with its Main Event being the key highlight. The Main Event alone had a $5 million guaranteed, and then four more events boasting a $1 million guaranteed prize pool. With such great prizes on offer, it was no surprise to see a huge turnout, which included some of the biggest players from across the world. The $5,300 Main Event saw 1,061 players coming to the felt to fight it out for the coveted title. The final figure for the prize pool reached $5,145,850 and the Day 5 of the event found the champion in the well-known Sam Greenwood. The final table was star-studded and included the opening Millions High Roller champ, Preben Stokkan, and Brazilian pro-Felipe Ramos, along with Sam Greenwood.

After battling it with some of the best players, Greenwood cruised his way through the final table and went on to defeat Andrey Shatilov in heads-up to win $1,000,000. So this was the biggest week for Greenwood, who claimed a 3rd, a 2nd, and finally a 1st in the biggest event of the festival.
$10,300 Millions High Roller: Preben Stokkan
The opening $10,300 Millions High Roller drew a total of 103 top quality players, pushing the prize pool up to the $1 million. The final table included the well-known Kenny Hallaert, Jonathan Little, and Steffen Sontheimer, but in the end, it was a lesser known pro-Preben Stokkan who won. His ventures into the live arena had netted him just over $500,000 in live earnings, but this figure got a huge boost with his win in this High Roller. He now adds a further $275,000 to his live cashes.

The $5,300 Millions Finale: Adrian Mateos
The $5,300 Millions Finale which took place on 23rd November drew 215 entries helping the prize pool to grow beyond the $1 million guaranteed. The final table had the likes of Kenny Hallaert eventually taking 3rd place and the fourth-place finisher in the Super High Roller event, Adrian Mateos who took 1st place. With this win in Millions Finale, Mateos adds $250,000 to his cashes.
