Chris Ferguson Claims 6th Gold Bracelet in WSOP Europe Event #7; Divanshu Khurana Finishes 6th

Chris “Jesus” Ferguson took down WSOPE Event #7: €1,650 Pot-Limit Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better Event for €39,289 to claim his 6th  Gold Bracelet in WSOP series. He beat Stanislav Wright who won €24,283 for his 2nd place finish. He now joins 6 bracelet winners club that features big names such as T. J. Cloutier, Layne Flack, Ted Forrest, Jay Heimowitz, Jeff Lisandro and Daniel Negreanu.furgusan

The 54-year-old  Ferguson from the state of California started the final table in 5th position, but he chipped up in between. He showed lots of aggression at the final table and went on to eliminate 4 players to secure his 6th gold bracelet. He scored valuable points in the 2017 WSOP POY race.

It was a good tournament from India’s point of view, as Divanshu Khurana managed to reach the final table but unfortunately, his game ended soon and he went out in sixth place for a cool €6,347.

Former German ‘Who Wants To Be A Millionaire’ winner Sebastian Langrock became the first casualty of the final table. He was eliminated by Sojka who then went on to eliminate start-of-day chip leader Dario Alioto in 7th place to extend his chip lead. Up next, both India’s Divanshu Khurana and Ferguson managed to double up through Sojka but unfortunately for Khurana, he fell in 6th  place after his As- 9c-6s-4c lost to Stanislav Wright’s Ad-10d-8c-2s on the board 8d-7h-3d-3s-4d.

Just two hands later, it was Rex Clinkscales who went out in 5th place followed by Artur Sojka from Poland who was eliminated in 4th place by Ferguson who then went on to knock out Netherlands’ Eldert Soer in 3rd place to grab an almost 5-1 chip lead going into the heads-up play against Ukraine based Wright. Just a few hands later, Ferguson emerged the winner to claim his 6th WSOP bracelet.
