The 2017 World Poker Tour Five Diamond World Poker Classic Main Event is done and dusted with Ryan Tosoc taking down the title and nearly $2 million in prize money. The marquee event was held at the Bellagio in Las Vegas, Nevada and drew poker’s elite and amateurs to create a strong field of 812 players who came to battle it out for their chance to enter the WPT Champion’s Club.Tosoc finished as runner-up to James Romero last year in this very same tournament for over $1,1 million pay-day and now this year Tosoc went on to make the final table and finally captured the title. After this win, the Chicago native has around $3,5 million in the live tournament earnings.
Tosoc secured this coveted Main Event title after Alex Foxen lost last chips with Ah-10c against Qc- 10c of Tosoc on the board 9h-3d-Kd-Jh-Jc, which gave Tosoc a straight to win the title.
